Deadloud originated in York, U.K. in the mid 1990's, when it acted as a

publicity web site for music written and produced by myself under the name 'Digital Snow' after the stage show  'The Bronx' with me playing keyboards and Colin Carvel on vocals, and its subsequent acts, 'Gilt Edge' with Gill Boldon, and 'Matrix' (named long before the film came out) with John Ward, finally ground to a halt.

Upon moving to Peterhead in Scotland in January 2004 I decided

to make the site a little more interesting and relevant to where I now live, and as a result various photo albums, news pages and other info has appeared. In addition I originally split the main web site into two sections, one for broadband, and a cut-down version for dial-up, I have now deleted the dial-up section altogether as broadband has become the internet standard. I have become aware of some compatibility issues regarding Firefox and some Flash objects, I am working on this issue, meanwhile the site is designed for and  best used with IE 5.5 or higher.

The film theatre features time-lapse movies created from

stills taken from the webcam (renamed 'weathercam'), the webcam itself is now proving to be a lot more stable and less infuriating than it used to be, it now utilises AV feeds to a TV card instead of a USB connection that was unstable due to the length of the feed cable. (Don't believe all you hear about regenerative USB cables .. they're not that good.)

You will note that Deadloud is a 'Child-Safe' web site, which

means that no images, sounds, MP3's etc. contain, or link to, any content that I wouldn't let my own kids have access to, neither do any photos of children appear on the site.  If  you are the sort of person that uses the internet for that sort of thing you shouldn't waste any more of your sad life here.

I am always open to suggestions about the site, which, at the

same time as not being perfect will, I guess, never be finished. Some sections of the website have recently been deleted as they were outdated and no longer relevant. The site is updated almost daily. Please feel free to email us with any comments you might have, all emails are answered, however any 'phishing' emails that originate from the website are reported and forwarded to the institutions they purport to be from for investigation.
