Peterhead: 'Land of the Big Sky'

"The Fisherwoman" statue in the town centre

Peterhead is the most easterly town in Scotland, situated 33 miles north of Aberdeen with a population of approx. 24,000.  It was recently the subject of the TV series 'Trawlermen' which examined the lives of the men who work in the towns main industry. The town harbour area has recently undergone a massive new multi million pound upgrade to attract larger ships.

Using the navigation panel on the left you will find lots of useful information such as weather, tide times and heights etc, as well as photographs of the town and area. The panel content will change as you move around the site.

The Theatre is currently showing timelapse movies of harbour activity and an interesting piece I was sent anonymously which I have labeled simply 'Thought'.
